Global English Editing aims to correct confirmed errors promptly and transparently.
How to request a correction
Email corrections@brownbrothers.io with “Correction” in the subject line. Include the article URL, the exact passage, what you believe is wrong, and a reliable source for the correction where possible.
How we handle corrections
We aim to respond to corrections requests within 48 hours and review the question against the available evidence, which may mean returning to the author, the source, or another relevant party. Material errors and substantial revisions are corrected with a dated note on the article explaining what changed. Minor fixes that do not change what readers were told may be made without a note.
What counts as a correction
We correct all factual errors, including a misread study, a misquoted line, and a claim attributed to the wrong researcher. Material errors and substantial revisions carry a dated note explaining what changed. Minor factual imprecision, spelling, formatting, broken links, replacement of a source link where the underlying claim is unchanged, and clarifications that do not substantially change what readers were told may be corrected silently. Where an article’s central premise cannot stand, we withdraw it and, where appropriate, leave a notice at the original address.
Updates and disagreements
An update reflects new information that became available after publication. It is not necessarily a correction. We do not change accurate material merely because someone later disagrees with an editorial judgment, but we will correct misleading framing or factual errors when supported by evidence.
